 Picture Talk   winter walk 5
Let's play Butterfly School!  Friends Pillar and Ally love to go on a winter walk with Grandma Judi.  Grandma Judi showed everyone a wonderful spruce tree.  The spruce tree has needles instead of leaves and is in the pine family (with pines, hemlocks, and firs).  It looks green all year and is called an evergreen.  Spruce pine cones hold the tree's seeds.  Wind knocked a few pine cones off the tree.  Each caterpillar collects one to bring home.  What a lovely thing to find!
