Carmine the caterpillar crawled along a branch to find delicious leaves! Carmine likes to eat leaves. Butterflies all begin by hatching from an egg as a caterpillar. They eat and grow and rest before they become butterflies. Caterpillars get lots of exercise by crawling. People can also crawl. We crawl before we learn to walk and run.
