Bright Bunnies Go For A Night Walk
A Bunny Star Wish Story

One night the garden was especially warm and welcoming. The Bright Pink Bunny and the Bright Green Bunny decided to go for a walk before bed. They were hoping to find a star or two.

It was very dark outside. The Bright Bunnies had trouble seeing anything at first. As their eyes adjusted to the dark, they noticed the pale white bark of a birch tree.

Then they saw their friend, the Bright Orange Bunny. They called out, "Hello!"

The Bright Orange Bunny said, "I am out for a night time walk. I am hoping to hear some night music."

The Bright Pink Bunny asked, "What is night music?" The Bright Orange Bunny explained, "night music is made from the sounds we don't notice during the day, like crickets chirping, wind rustling the leaves on the trees and the singing that we have inside ourselves that we save for quiet nights." The Bright Green Bunny said, "That sounds beautiful. We're looking for stars. We can listen for night music too!"

The friends walked through the garden. They listened to the night music. They heard peepers peeping and crickets chirping. They heard an owl hoot softly. They heard a woman quietly calling her cat home, "Here kitty kitty, it is time for bed!"

Suddenly, the Bright Orange Bunny pointed to the sky. "There is a star!"

The Bright Green Bunny and the Bright Pink Bunny looked up with excitement. They also saw stars!

Each Bright Bunny made a wish on one of the twinkling stars. The Bright Pink Bunny wished for a wonderful birthday party. The Bright Orange Bunny wished for a spring party cake. The Bright Green Bunny wished for a yellow, pink, blue and red sun hat! When the Bright Pink Bunny went home and went to sleep, it had a wonderful star dream.
