Art Recipes: Shape Pizza  

Draw or trace a large circle for your pizza "dough". (A dinner sized plate works well.) Cut a slightly smaller circle with wavy edges for your "sauce". You can trace the shapes in this illustration as patterns for an oval, rectangle, square, semi-circle, diamond, trapezoid, triangle and circle. Cut these shapes from many different colors. Help your child glue the shapes to the pizza in any delicious arrangement.  See our sample!

Variations: try number pizza, alphabet pizza, even vegetable pizza by cutting out shapes to look like vegetables or other creative pizza toppings.
