Let's play Butterfly School!  Everyone is reading and writing poetry today.  Poetry helps us express wonderful feelings, like love.  First, Debbie reads the beginning of a poem by Robert Burns.  It is about love!   (see Activities)  How pretty!  When they find a new word, they check the dictionary to learn what the word means.  Maya and Jesse write poems about a food they love, leaves!  These poems rhyme -- the words at the end of the lines sound similar!
