Let's play Butterfly School!  Today is February 24th.  Let's count to 24:  1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24.  Xylo the caterpillar is counting "x"s.  There are 24!  Some are small and some are big.  Let's count them all . . .  X sounds like "zye".  Let's think of some "x" words:  xylophone, Xylo and xanthic (zan-thick).  Xanthic is a fun word.  It means having a yellowish color.  Let's color xylo yellow!  		 Activities to Share

bulletMake a paper xylophone. A xylophone has metal strips side by side that make different sounds when you tap them gently.  Cut 2 (or more) colorful paper strips in different lengths.  Glue them down.  When you tap them, sing out different notes!
