Theo the caterpillar's Mom looked for a special, safe place to lay her egg. She picked a green leaf on a healthy plant. Leaves with a clear green color are getting good water and sunlight. That makes them healthy. As soon as Theo hatches, he will be hungry. He will need a healthy meal to eat. Theo's Mom will lay more eggs on leaves.
