Eamon is a very young caterpillar.  He just hatched from his egg.  Eamon's mother laid the egg on a healthy green leaf so Eamon could enjoy a delicious first meal.  When a young caterpillar first hatches, it is very hungry.  Eamon began eating right away!  First, he ate part of his eggshell.  Now he is enjoying eating the leaf.  Eamon will eat many leaves before he grows into a butterfly.
